Runway on the Rapids 2016 | Grand Rapids Fashion Photography
Runway on the Rapids 2016 proved to be a smashing success not only for the fashion world, but also for the world of MS research. The annual event is held in Grand Rapids to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Program at Mercy Health Hauenstein Neuroscience. We were asked to provide event photography for both the fashion show and the "behind the scenes" portion of the event that most folks are not able to experience. We photographed models sporting fashion from DENYM, Elizabeth Halsey Boutique, Second Dance Formal Consignment, The Shoppe at Saint Mary's and Artist - Eric Eugene LeMire. Hair & make-up was provided by 15 East Style Studio and Bang Blowdry Bar with music provided by DJ AB, Adrian Butler. The evening involved silent auction items, raffle giveaways and many other ways of raising support for the MS program at Mercy Health. This year's event raised over $25,000 for the MS Program!
In years past, we have not been the ones creating model portraits before the runway show, but this year we were commissioned to be the Grand Rapids fashion photographers to document all the models in the show. We used a tight hallway space to create the portraits you will see below. In addition, we were joined by Grand Rapids photographer Kelsie Lemonnier of Intricate Exposures to help us with the behind the scenes and detail photos of the evening. She did a great job capturing the details of the night along with different angles of the runway show.
