Community Care Fund at JR Automation | Grand Rapids Event Photography
Throughout the year, we provide companies with event photography in Grand Rapids. Earlier this year, we were asked to provide event photography for JR Automation as they gave over $84,000 back to their local community. Funds are raised through employee donations and employee driven fundraisers. The money is then donated to local charities that are also selected by the staff. This past year, the staff raised over $84,000 which was given to 10 different local charities. In 1997 JR Automation setup their Community Care Fund to give back to the town that helped them grow from a small manufacturing company to one of the fastest growing companies in West Michigan. The funds were distributed among 10 Holland-area nonprofits: Area 12 Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Holland, Center for Women in Transition, Children’s Advocacy Center, Community Action House, Holland Rescue Mission, Hospice of Holland, Kids’ Food Basket, Out Side In Stables and West Michigan Miracle League.
The event brought together employees from multiple locations around the Holland area for a "state of the company" talk from Co-CEOs Bryan Jones and Scot Lindemann, followed by the presentation of the award checks to the non-profit organizations.
To finish off the event, I was sent up in a scissor lift to capture a photo of not only the winners, but also the 500+ employees at the event as well.
Do you have a community outreach program or event that most people don't know about? Perhaps it's time to think about how you can get the word out about your company's program.
