MercyMe + Tenth Avenue North | Event Photography at Van Andel Arena
Working with our Grand Rapids client, 91.3 WCSG, we were asked to cover the MercyMe and Tenth Avenue North sold out concert at Van Andel Arena. In addition we photographed a VIP event at Bistro Bella Vita for Tenth Avenue North fans.
The station wanted to provide images of the evening to all the bands (in addition to their own needs). So far, here are the statistics on different social channels:
- Facebook: 1379 Likes, 112 Comments and 38 shares
- Instagram: 3040 Likes, 49 Comments
Not a bad way to reach and engage with their fans and target audiences from one night of performances.
MercyMe has been on a roll in 2018.
The movie "I Can Only Imagine", the inspiring and unknown true story behind the beloved, chart topping song was released in March 2018. They also released a greatest hits album to coincide with the movie's release and kicked off a nationwide tour featuring Tenth Avenue North.
Prior to the actual concert, 91.3 WCSG held a VIP event where guests had a meet and greet time with members of Tenth Avenue North. CDs were signed, photos were taken and it was a great time to create a connection between the band and listeners of WCSG.
The lines at Van Andel Arena were around the building as MercyMe and Tenth Avenue North performed to a sell out crowd.
Tim Timmons opened up the evening with a great set, followed by Tenth Avenue North and MercyMe.
